Grand theft arrests

? Anthony Correnti Jr., 42, and Kimberly Ann Correnti, 35, both of the 8400 block of Garden Road, Fort Myers, were arrested Tuesday by Lee deputies at home. They are each charged with burglary and grand theft. They are accused of stealing items from a neighbor’s garage while the neighbor was in Texas.

DUI arrests

? Richard J. Folger Jr., 27, of the 18000 block of Hilda Drive, Fort Myers, was arrested Tuesday by Lee deputies near Cypress Lake Drive and U.S. 41 South in Fort Myers. He was charged with DUI/first offense.

? Michael William Pelton, 22, of the 7500 block of Cordoba Circle, Naples, was arrested Tuesday by Lee deputies near Bonita Beach Road and Downs Boulevard in Bonita Springs. He was charged with DUI, possession of less than 20 grams of marijuana and two counts of possession of a controlled substance without a prescription.

Grand theft arrests

? A refrigerator and television with a total value of $2,500 were reported stolen Tuesday from the 17000 block of U.S. 41 South in Fort Myers.

? A ring valued at $3,300 was reported stolen Tuesday from a house in the 26000 block of South Bay Road in Bonita Springs.

? Electronics, clothing and jewelry with a total value of more than $3,000 were reported stolen Tuesday from a house in the 11000 block of Forest Mere Drive in Fort Myers.

? Alexis Mayol, 54, of the 7600 block of Tara Circle, East Naples, was arrested Monday by Collier deputies at the Naples Jail Center. Mayol told deputies there might be a warrant out for his arrest in connection with a complaint that he hit his wife in the side of the head Saturday, reports said.

? Juan Israel Alvarado, 33, of the 1300 block of Plum Street, Immokalee, was arrested Monday by Collier deputies at the Naples Jail Center. He was charged with aggravated battery on his wife, who is four months pregnant, after a June 3 incident at their home, reports said.

DUI arrests

? Gregory Allen Vincent, 23, of the 4600 block of St. Croix Lane, North Naples, was arrested by Collier deputies Monday at Fiddler’s Creek Parkway and Collier Boulevard.

? Timothy David Huffman, 31, of the 13000 block of Corbel Circle, Fort Myers, was arrested Sunday by Collier deputies at U.S. 41 East and Thomasson Drive.

? James Charles Ketchum Jr., 51, of the 200 block of Goodland Drive East, Goodland, was arrested Monday by Marco Island police in the 500 block of North Barfield Drive.

? Thony Gerald Charlestin, 25, of the 700 block of Crestview Circle, Immokalee, was arrested Monday by Collier deputies at the Circle K, 1117 East Main St. He was charged with taking $518 from the cash register since June 7, reports said.

Grand theft reports

? A cellular telephone valued at more than $300 was reported stolen Monday from the 27000 block of Hickory Boulevard in Bonita Springs. The owners reported someone then sent text messages costing several hundred dollars.

? Copper wiring with a total value of $3,000 was reported stolen Monday from two houses under construction in the 28000 block of Hammerhead Lane in Bonita Springs.

? A television and two radios with a total value of $349 were reported stolen Monday from three unlocked vehicles in the 18000 block of Iris Road in Fort Myers.

? A stove valued at $600 was reported stolen Monday from a house under construction in the 13000 block of Boccala Lane in Estero.

? Cash, jewelry, clothes and an iPod with a total value of $1,810 were reported stolen Monday from a house in the 270000 block of Felts Avenue in Bonita Springs.

Disorderly intoxication arrests

? Thomas Jack Fohlbrook, 22, of the 1900 block San Marco Road, was charged with fighting with another man in the parking lot of the Sandbar Restaurant, 826 East Elkcam Circle. Around 12:42 a.m., a verbal altercation started inside the bar and continued outside the bar after Fohlbrook punched the side door from inside causing the door to hit a the face of a woman, according to reports. Attempts to locate the second subject involved in the incident were unsuccessful, reports said.

? Erlis Lezama, 35, of the 2100 block of Hunter Boulevard, in Golden Gate was charged with battery and disorderly intoxication after sitting at the Rancho Grande bar, 4859 Golden Gate Parkway, with another male and disrupting patrons that were eating at the restaurant. When asked to leave the restaurant by the owner/manager Lezama pushed the owner with both hands in the chest, reports said. The owner was struck four times in the chest with open hands, reports said.

Domestic assault arrests

? Iris Diane Chirino, 25, of the 2100 block of 19th Street Southwest, Golden Gate Estates, was arrested by Collier deputies Sunday at home. She was charged with beating her brother with a broom stick, punching and slapping him.

? Edward Hoskins, 39, of the 2000 block of Bayview Drive, East Naples, was arrested by Collier deputies Sunday at home. He was charged with getting into a physical argument with his girlfriend about marijuana. He was also charged with possessing no more than 20 grams of marijuana.

Battery arrests

? Collier County Sheriff’s Office deputies arrested two Golden Gate Estates residents Saturday at Porky’s parking lot, 2560 39th St. S.W. Deputies responded to a call about an intoxicated male attempting to drive away from the restaurant, reports said. John Edward Krimmel, 33, of the 3800 block of 31st Avenue Southwest, was charged with battery on an law enforcement officer, obstruction of an officer for interfering with a DUI investigation by going into the vehicle and resisting a law enforcement officer without violence for fleeing on foot, reports said. Also, Lonnie A. Gibson, 36, of the 3200 block of Eighth Avenue Southeast, was charged with DUI.

? Nicholas John Stolinas, 22 of the 1800 block of Bahama Avenue, Marco Island, was arrested by Marco Island police Sunday at 625 N. Collier Blvd. He was charged with a battery that occurred on June 24.

? Danilo Medina Jr., 31, of the 9000 block of San Carlos Boulevard, Fort Myers, was arrested Saturday by Lee deputies in the 8300 block of Matanzas Road, Fort Myers. He was charged with battery.

? Melissa Gamez, 33, of the 26000 block of Bridgeport Lane, Bonita Springs, was arrested Sunday by Lee deputies in Lee County. She was charged with battery.

? Jeffery Lee Verhaagh, 46, of the 8400 block of Wren Road, Fort Myers, was arrested Monday by Lee deputies in Lee County. He was charged with battery/domestic violence.

DUI arrests

? Bruce Bray Kretschmer Jr., 23, of the 1000 block of Hartley Avenue, Marco Island, was arrested by Collier deputies Sunday at Keewaydin Island South and Hurricane Pass.

? James Wesley Pryor, 47, of the 4000 block of New Moon Court, East Naples, was arrested by Collier deputies Sunday at Thomasson Drive and Xeric Lane.

? Marjorie Pyle, 47, of the 2000 block of Sheffield Avenue, Marco Island, was arrested by Florida Highway Patrol troopers Sunday at Collier Boulevard and North Barfield Drive.

? Corey James Martin, 30, of the 150 block of Santa Clara Drive, East Naples, was arrested by Collier County Sheriff’s Office deputies Sunday at 750 Fourth St. N. He was charged with two counts of DUI, one with property damage and refusing a blood sample request. According to reports, a breath sample was not practical due to his injuries.

? Gregorio Antonio Ventura, 33, of the 13000 block of Bonita Beach Road in Bonita Springs, was arrested Saturday by Lee deputies in Lee County. He was charged with DUI and driving without a valid license.

Drug arrests

? Joshua Alexander Hurley, 30, of the 27000 block of Reahard Court, Bonita Springs, was arrested Saturday by Lee deputies in the 4500 block of Bonita Beach Road in Bonita Springs. He was charged with possession of a controlled substance (Roxycodone) without a prescription and three counts of possession of paraphernalia.

5:01 P.M. — State Road 31 at at Ruden Road has reopened and power company crews are on the scene.

3:07 p.m. update

North and southbound State Road 31 is closed at Ruden Road due to brush fire started by downed power lines.

State Road 31 in Lee County reopens after being closed by brush fire


Authorities are reporting that an SUV flipped on northbound I-75 near mile maker 54 at about 11 p.m. tonight with passengers entrapped.

The SUV went off the road and into a ditch, officials reported.

Three adults and two children were in the vehicle, but emergency responders were able to help those people out of the vehicle shortly after 11 p.m..

One male is reported to have a neck injury and the children are reportedly OK as of an update from officials at approximately 11:10 p.m.

Florida Highway Patrol is investigating the crash and authorities on-scene said they were able to get the vehicle back up right by about 11:20 p.m.

Man suspected of stealing liquor from former employer

Domestic assault arrests

? Kristina N. Ramirez, 23, of the 100 block of Kathy Lane, East Naples, was arrested by sheriff’s deputies Thursday. She and her live-in boyfriend got into a verbal argument about her coming home late from school. She started packing belongings to leave and he followed her outside. Witnesses say they saw her slap her boyfriend with an open hand across his face.

? Allen Bernard Richman, 75, of the 1000 block of Tarpon Bay Drive, was arrested by sheriff’s deputies at his home Thursday. Richman and his wife got into an argument over him not being able to read a telephone number on a Blackberry and his wife tried to help. That led to them bringing up an argument from a few days earlier involving their dog. He grabbed her by the neck and she hit him in the stomach. He pushed her down on a chaise lounge and tried to hit her.

Grand theft

? James J. Altidor, 22, of the 10000 Whistler’s Cove Circle, East Naples, was arrested by sheriff’s deputies Thursday on suspicion of grand theft auto. Deputies were called to the apartment complex in reference to a stolen scooter. The suspect was seen driving the scooter with a female passenger sitting on his lap.

DUI arrests

? Cicilio Amador, 62, of the 3000 block of Francis Ave., East Naples, was arrested by sheriff’s deputies Friday at 10th Street North and Fifth Avenue North.

? Edgar Alexander Soriano, 25, of the 300 block of Dexter Drive, Fort Myers, was arrested by sheriff’s deputies at Exit 101 off Interstate 75. Reports say Soriano was driving southbound on the interstate in a dark SUV, weaving all over the road and driving only 25 mph, deputies reported.

? Glenda S. Thackston, 52, of the 1000 block of Serenity Circle, Naples, was arrested Friday by sheriff’s deputies near U.S. 41 North and Wiggins Pass Road.

? Dana Jo Haberkern, 38, 1000 block of Naples Circle Drive, was arrested by Florida Highway Patrol deputies at U.S. 41 E. near Price Street. Haberkern had crashed her black Jaguar. Her blood alcohol level was 0.288, according to reports.

? Jeckson Berrios, 26, whose address was not released because he is a Charlotte Correctional Institute correctional officer, was arrested Thursday by Cape Coral police in Lee County. He was charged with battery/domestic violence.

Grand theft arrest

Bryan Lee Berkley, 40, of the 8300 block of Bounty Road, Fort Myers, was arrested Thursday by Lee deputies at home. He was charged with breaking into a Lehigh Acres house and stealing items.

Drug arrests

? Christian Tyshawn Lopez, 18, of the 4500 block of Coral Palms Lane, Golden Gate, was arrested by Collier deputies on Thursday at home. He was charged with possession of cocaine after deputies saw him fighting with his girlfriend.

? Austin William Wunderlich, 19, of the 17000 block of Connecticut Road, Fort Myers, was arrested Thursday by Lee deputies near Caloosa and Linden Roads in Fort Myers. He was charged with possession of cocaine, possession of less than 20 grams of marijuana, possession of paraphernalia and carrying a concealed weapon. He is accused of obstructing traffic and when stopped by deputies, they found a knife and the drugs on him.

? Ryan Robert Wade, 24, of the 6000 block of Perthshire Lane, Fort Myers, was arrested Thursday by Lee Deputies near U.S. 41 South and Constitution Boulevard in Fort Myers. He was charged with two counts of possession of a controlled substance without a prescription. He is accused of riding his bicycle and failing to stop at a red light, causing a car to hit its breaks. When deputies stopped him, they found the drugs.

? Kevin James Richardson, 17, of the 24000 block of Mountain View Drive, Bonita Springs, was arrested Thursday by Lee deputies at home. He was charged with producing marijuana. He is accused of growing two marijuana plants near his home.

? Adalberto Cuomo, 28, of the 1 block of Tahiti Road, Marco Island, was arrested by Naples police on Thursday at the intersection of U.S. 41 North and Seventh Avenue North.

? Dorthea Casey, 53, of Lehigh Acres, was arrested by Florida Highway Patrol troopers on Thursday near the intersection of U.S. 41 North and Immokalee Road.

Grand theft arrests

? Rabul Valdez Jr., 26, of Zolfo Springs, was arrested by Collier deputies Wednesday at 2451 U.S. 41 E. He was charged with using a receipt for items at Walmart that he and an unidentified woman purchased and left the store with, before returning to load a cart with the identical items and obtain a cash refund for those unpurchased items. The charges were grand theft, fraud to obtain property of less than $20,000 and fraud to request a refund with a false receipt.

? Erica Chastity West, 18, of 4920 Cortez Circle, East Naples, was arrested by Collier deputies Wednesday at her home. She was charged with stealing several pieces of jewelry from a woman she rented a room from, and selling them at a local pawn shop. She was charged with grand theft of items valued at a total of $11,100 and with dealing in stolen property.

? Ellen Marie Reed, 26, of 3406 Timberwood Circle, East Naples, was arrested by Collier deputies Wednesday at the intersection of Golden Gate Parkway and Livingston Road.

Drug arrests

? Adam Daniel Conger, 21, of the 18000 block of Tulip Road, Fort Myers, was arrested Wednesday by Lee deputies in the 7500 block of Winged Foot Drive, Fort Myers. He was charged with possession of more than 20 grams of a controlled substance, possession of less than 20 grams of marijuana and possession of paraphernalia.
