Prostitution arrests

Seven people were arrested Thursday and charged with soliciting prostitution in Fort Myers. Lee County Sheriff’s Office Narcotics and Street Crimes Unit conducted a sting near South Cleveland Avenue after citizens had complained. The following were arrested: Barbarita Araujo, 39, Fort Myers; Patricia Esdelle, 20, Fort Myers; Valerie Earl, 49, Fort Myers; Lorenzo Cornejo, 63, Fort Myers; James Fyffe, 55, Address Unknown; Rebecca Fontes, 39, Cape Coral; Dannielle Zinderman, 35, Fort Myers.

Domestic violence arrest

Jeffery Glen Anderson, 49, of the 4600 block of Bayshore Drive, East Naples, was arrested by Collier deputies Wednesday in the 2800 block of Thomasson Drive. He was charged with battery after a report said a witness saw him push his wife into a telephone pole. He was also charged with resisting arrest after he drove from the scene when deputies arrived. When they pulled him over, he flailed his arms and deputies used a taser to control him.

Battery arrest

John Edward Evenson, 47, of the 2300 block of Niagara Lane, North Naples, was arrested by Collier deputies Thursday at his home and charged with battery on law enforcement officers. Evenson kicked and elbowed deputies as they tried to place him in the patrol vehicle. He was also charged with resisting arrest.

Drug arrest

? Ranisha Lasha Knowles, 24, of the 4500 block of 19th Place Southwest, Golden Gate, and Garrick Gerard Johnson, 28 of the 4300 block of 17th Avenue Southwest were arrested Thursday by Collier deputies at the intersection of 17th Place Southwest and 44th Terrace Southwest. Knowles was charged with possession of oxycodone and possession with intent to sell. Johnson was charged with possession of oxycodone. They attempted to trade eight pills for 3.5 grams of cocaine with an undercover detective.

? Corey Perry Williams, 18, of the 19000 block of Ocala Road, Fort Myers, was arrested Thursday by Lee deputies at home. He was charged with possession of less than 20 grams of marijuana, possession of paraphernalia and on failing to appear on a violation of probation for driving without a valid license.

DUI arrests

? Enrique Manzo, 33, of the 2600 block of Holly Avenue, East Naples, was arrested Thursday by Collier deputies at the intersection of Golden Gate and Everglades boulevards.

? Cheryl Ann Wagner, 49, of the 6200 block of Wilshire Pines Circle, North Naples, was arrested Thursday by Collier deputies at the intersection of Wilshire Lakes Boulevard and Vanderbilt Beach Road. It was her second offense. She was also charged with refusing to submit to a breath or urine test.

? Alan Jack Biren, 61, of the 10000 block of Mirasol Drive, Fort Myers, was arrested Thursday by Lee deputies in Lee County.

? Erik L. Maritnez, 31, of the 27000 block of Pullen Avenue, Bonita Springs, was arrested Thursday by Lee deputies in Lee County.

Other arrests

Angel Junior Pino, 19, of the 100 block of Osprey Landing, Naples, was arrested Thursday by Cape Coral police in Lee County. He was charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon without intent to kill.

? Mark Jalali, 50, of the 100 block of Glen Eagle Circle, Naples, was arrested Friday by Fort Myers police in Lee County. He was charged with precursor acts of facilitating prostitution and lewd and lascivious acts. Details were not immediately available.

? Michael Arthur Tessmer, 33, of the 3500 block of Cherry Blossom Court, Fort Myers, was arrested Sunday by Lee deputies in Lee County. He was charged with assault with intent to do violence and resisting arrest without violence.

DUI arrests

? Christopher Joseph O’Malley, 36, of the 21000 block of Bella Terra Boulevard, Estero, was arrested Saturday by Lee deputies near U.S. 41 South and Alico Road in Fort Myers.

? Clayton Michael Meeker, 27, of the 16000 block of Rest Ridge Loop, Fort Myers, was arrested Sunday by Lee deputies near Gulf Coast Town Center on Ben Hill Griffin Parkway.

? Allen Lee Odell, 48, of the 8800 block of Cedar Hollow Drive, Fort Myers, was arrested Sunday by Florida Highway Patrol troopers in Lee County.

? James Thumm, 51, of the 26000 block of Imperial River Road, Bonita Springs, was arrested Sunday by Lee deputies near home.

Drug arrests

? Alice M. Reicherter, 34, of the 400 block of Valerie Way, Naples, was arrested Monday near Gunnery Road and state Road 82 in Lehigh Acres. She was charged with possession of less than 20 grams of marijuana.

Battery arrests

? Tricia Marie Maxey, 36, of the 1300 block of Jeronimo Drive, Naples, was arrested Saturday by Lee deputies on Palm Beach Boulevard in Fort Myers. She was charged with battery/domestic violence. She is accused of slapping her boyfriend.

? Jennifer Acevedo, 28, of the 3200 block of LaCosta Circle, Naples, was arrested Saturday by Lee deputies in Lehigh. She was charged with battery. She is accused of biting a woman in the leg.

Battery

Allen Jeffrey Wright, 47, of an unlisted address, was arrested by Collier deputies on Wednesday on charges of domestic battery and child abuse. Deputies say Wright flew into a rage after his wrenches were thrown in the driveway at his girlfriend’s house.

Drug offenses

Noe Dejesus, 27, of the 5000 block of Treetops Lane in Naples, was arrested by Collier deputies on Wednesday on charges of possession of marijuana under 20 grams and contributing to the delinquency of a minor. Dejesus was riding with four minors in a car, where deputies say they found open beer containers and a “flake” of marijuana on Dejesus’ shirt.

DUI

? Jamie Lynn Brayton, 32, of the 2700 block of Fountain View Circle in Naples, was arrested Wednesday at 2110 9th St. N. in Naples.

? Kenneth Wayne Langford, 42, of the 200 block of 3rd Street SW in Naples, was arrested by Collier deputies on Wednesday on a charge of DUI, fourth or subsequent, at the intersection of County Barn Road and Davis Boulevard.

? Roderick Terrell Sealy, 35, of the 5200 block of 17th Avenue SW in Naples, was arrested by Collier deputies on Tuesday at the 5200 block of Hawthorn Woods Way.

Theft arrest

Jason M. Toscano, 27, who is listed as homeless, was arrested by Collier deputies on Wednesday on a charge of grand theft auto. Deputies say Toscano stole his ex-girlfriend’s truck months after he took an extra set of keys from her.

Grand theft

Wire valued at $4,000 was reported stolen Wednesday from a closed Hess Mart at 17081 U.S. 41 South in Fort Myers. The wire was stolen sometime in the past month.

? Kenneth William Purkey, 25, of the 5000 block of Rattlesnake hammock Road, East Naples, was arrested by Collier deputies Wednesday near the 4000 block of Biscayne Drive. Purkey was charged with possession of marijuana, possession of narcotics paraphernalia and failure to appear for a driving without a license appearance.

? Craig Allan Smith, 26, of the 17000 block of Caloosa Trace Circle, Fort Myers, was arrested Thursday by Lee deputies near Bonita Beach Road and Imperial Parkway in Bonita Springs. He was charged with possession of more than 20 grams of a controlled substance without a prescription.

Grand theft arrests

? Christian Martinez Santiago, 20, whose Golden Gate Estates address was unavailable, was arrested by Collier deputies Thursday near the 15000 block of Coastal Bay. Martinez Santiago was charged with felony grand theft $300 to $5,000 and burglary of an unoccupied vehicle, after reports said on June 6 he broke into a car in the 15000 block of Indigo Lakes Circles and stole $2584 worth of electronics and cash.

Domestic assault arrests

Joe Curtis Barrs, 25, of the 3000 block of Estey Avenue, East Naples, was arrested by Collier deputies Tuesday at home. He was charged with battery and obstruction of justice after reports said he tried to hit his girlfriend, threw her clothes in the yard and broke her cell phone when she told him she was leaving him.

DUI arrests

? Benjamin Janvary Gofton, 42, of the 1000 block of Sixth Lane N., Naples, was arrested by FHP troopers Monday near the intersection of Golden Gate Parkway and Livingston Road. He was also charged with DUI property damage, DUI seriously bodily harm, hit and run fail to stop/remain at crash involving an injury, and leaving the scene of a crash.

Drug arrests

? Sonia Afilalo-Schwartz, 51, of the 12000 block of Vittoria Way, Fort Myers, was arrested Tuesday by Lee deputies at home. She was charged with possession of more than 20 grams of marijuana. She is accused of receiving a delivery of marijuana through a delivery service and having marijuana and paraphernalia in a safe at home.

? Francisco Caballero Suarez, 38, of the 2000 block of 15th Avenue N.E., Estates, was arrested by Collier deputies Tuesday near the intersection of South First Street and East Delaware Avenue in Immokalee. Caballero Suarez was charged with possession of cocaine and driving without a valid license.

? Sherrod Sherridan McClain, 31, of the 300 block of Eustis Avenue, Immokalee, was arrested by Collier deputies Tuesday in the 300 block of South Second Street. He was charged with possession of cocaine.

? Shannon Nicole Nelson, 26, of the 4000 block of Rita Lane, Bonita Springs, was arrested Tuesday by lee deputies in the 27000 block of Old U.S. 41 in Bonita Springs. She was charged with loitering and prowling and possession of a controlled substance without a prescription.

Grand theft arrests

Betty Ann Durity, 48, of the 5000 block of Augusta Boulevard, Naples, was arrested by Collier deputies Tuesday at home. Durity was charged with burglary of an unoccupied dwelling and grand theft $300 to $5,000, after reports said she stole a camera and printer from her ex-employer.

A television valued at $1,000 was reported stolen Tuesday from the 19000 block of U.S. 41 South in Estero.
